A launch film
in a weekend.

Taiga builds the Orca, an electric personal watercraft, in Québec. In August 2023 the new Orca Performance was days from launch and the launch assets were not there. We wrote the concept, took two riders to the lake and shot the launch film in one weekend.

Then we stayed on the water: a summer of edits for the media campaign, and a how-to series that walks new owners from delivery day to their first charge.

01 · We thought it.

A one-page concept: a day as a Lake Lifer. Two riders, one lake, sunrise to sunset, with the Orca Performance doing what it was built for. And a shot list tight enough to cover in a weekend, with the teaser and the social cuts planned from the same footage.

02 · We made it.

The launch film, shot and cut in days, in 16:9, square and vertical, English and French. Then the summer edits: Lake Life, Ocean Life and Wind Therapy, cut for every placement from 16:9 to 4:5 to a six-second pre-roll. And in 2024, a four-part how-to series for owners: taking delivery, the Taiga app, riding and charging.

03 · We launched it.

The Orca Performance launched on August 10, 2023, with the film out front. The summer edits followed through the rest of the season. The how-to series lives on Taiga's YouTube channel, where it still walks new owners through their first days.
